I used to be on Journalspace. i went by the name of "crank". If you went there perhaps you saw the phrase "fluffy bunnies". that was me. until some evil women with absolutely no senses of humour had me kicked off.

the idea behind CRANK was to take the attitudes and value of punk, or punk as I knew it in the late '70s, as well as borrowing ideas from the dada and situationist movements of the early 20th century (check of Greil Marcus' excellent book LIPSTICK TRACES to learn more), and apply them to blogging. Punk was a concept, not just a musical genre. It was my thought that one could create a punk equivelent in blogging, without actually having it be about music, or even being "punk rock". that's what "CRANK" and it's second permutation "FLUFFY BUNNIES" was supposed to be. I guess the fact that a few humourless women had me kicked off JS proves that I was ultimately successful.

Or you may have read chixdigme's blog, which most recently, went by the title of "stream". that was me too. i could have just used all the same name info here but i've chosen change. change is good. it's not boring. i really despise boring.

this new blog will continue the old themes - music, fly fishing and weirdness, though in no particular order. hope you enjoy it. but if you don't, i really couldn't give a rat's ass.
